This second Weybridge project highlights another property affected by rising damp, where moisture had penetrated internal walls at low level. The issue had developed over time, resulting in visible damage to plaster, decoration, and timber elements.
Following a detailed survey, our team identified that the existing damp proof course had failed, allowing groundwater to rise through the masonry structure.
Before treatment began, the walls showed clear evidence of moisture ingress. Internal finishes were deteriorating, and salts had built up within the plaster, preventing it from drying naturally.
To resolve the rising damp, we installed a new chemical damp proof course (DPC) across the affected walls. This treatment forms a moisture barrier that prevents further upward movement of water.
All contaminated plaster was removed to eliminate salts, followed by the application of a specialist waterproof render system designed for long-term durability.
After completion, the affected walls were fully treated, replastered, and restored. The property is now protected against rising damp, with internal surfaces dry and ready for decoration.
This project demonstrates how proper diagnosis and professional damp proofing methods can successfully eliminate rising damp in residential properties.
